My friend "Greguto" was back from Japan this week and showed me some of his growing collection of Maid Cafe memorabilia! (These were taken with a cell phone camera at night, so they are a little blurry).
You collect points in these books--actually not for maid cafes, but for reflexology places.
I think this one's in Osaka.

A friend of mine pointed out that there is now a maid cafe in Toronto. That's more convenient than Osaka, I guess, but I think that the time has come for some maid cafes in the US ^_^
More info can be found here:
CosPlay Cafe comes to Toronto.
Tis Greguto!
I heard about the maid cafe in Toronto. There`s also on in China, another one in France (much more French maid than manga maid, though), and maybe one in Taiwan. The new big thing over here, however, is not maid cafes, but maid reflexology. Most places offer hand and foot massages, and some offer shoulder massages, too. It depends on where you go. Prices vary, but most places offer 10 or 20 minute massages for about $20-$30. In fact, one of the membership cards in the photo is from a reflexology place.

I goofed! Both of the cards are from reflexology places. Most maid cafes have them, too. After getting so many points, you can get everything from free drinks (maid cafes) to free photos or more time added to your massage for free (reflexology places).
